Will childcare be provided for my older child? 2019-10-29T03:49:02+00:00

We recognize that many families need childcare for their second child so they can focus on the enrolled child during class, and we will continue to explore options to incorporate sibling childcare into the program.

I enrolled my 3-year-old, but I am still breastfeeding my new baby. Can I bring them to the class? 2019-10-29T03:48:39+00:00

Ideally, you will be able to focus on the child you enrolled in PACT in a 1:1 setting. However, if you would like to bring your non-mobile infant, please check with your PACT teacher. They will discuss strategies that will allow you to focus on your older child during the class.

All families are welcome to participate in NfL programs regardless of ability to make a financial contribution. A voluntary contribution of your time, talents, and treasure helps us sustain and support programs and services.

At Neighborhoods for Learning (NfLs), we connect parents to a variety of screenings and support services to strengthen parenting skills and help parents to weather stressful situations. For example, teachers offer screenings to check if your child’s development is on track for their age and provide tips or referrals to address any concerns.

Why 0 -3? I have a 4-year-old who needs your program. 2019-10-29T03:46:34+00:00

The first three years of life are the bricks and mortar of brain development – the time when we can have the greatest positive impact and increase bonding and attachment. We are prioritizing enrollment for children 0-3 years old, as there are very few programs available for this age group in Ventura County.

High-quality preschool programs for 3 and 4 year old children help prepare them to enter Kindergarten, ready to learn. First 5 Ventura County is continuing to fund preschool opportunities countywide. Call CDR at 805-485-7878 for details.
