Serving Families and Children 0-5 Online and on the Phone

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we compiled resources and created services to help parents, children and Ventura County residents impacted by the crisis. See below to see the resources and services we have for you.

  • Facebook Daily LIVE Storytime and Activities

  •  Class Dojo
    • A place that teachers, students, and families use every day to build close-knit communities by sharing photos, videos, and messages around parent education, activities, resources and more! The activities will be led by a trained teacher, and the activities will focus on strengthening parent/caregiver and child relationships and bonding, support children’s early learning, enhance parent/caregiver knowledge of child development, provide social connections for parents/caregivers in the times of postponed PACT classes.
  •  Zoom
    • Classroom Activities via Zoom
      • Daily 30 minute live interactive activities for families, teachers and children (i.e. music and movement, fingerplays, yoga, circle time, Parent Education and Parent Support Groups). 
    • Parent Support Groups via Zoom 
      • A place for families to connect with other parents/caregivers and chat online about their week. Led by a trained Early Child Education Teacher.
    • Parent Education Groups via Zoom
      • Example topics: Practicing positive discipline techniques, in home routines/activities, learning age-appropriate child development skills and milestones, promoting positive play and interaction between parents and children, and locating and accessing community services and supports.
  • Developmental Screenings (ASQ-3, ASQ-SE)
      • The Ages and Stages Questionnaires® Third Edition (ASQ-3) and Ages and Stages Questionnaires®: Social Emotional (ASQ:SE), which are standardized questionnaires with high reliability and validity designed to help parents monitor their child’s development and identify potential challenges.
