- DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Moorpark/Simi Valley Neighborhood for Learning offers services to families with children ages 0-5 to encourage school readiness, family strengthening and children's health. The Family Resource Centers offer activities for children and their parents that focus on early literacy; also offering parenting classes, parent-and-me classes, transportation assistance, infant/preschool scholarships, nutrition classes, summer school readiness programs, lending library, health insurance enrollment, and referral to other agencies for additional services. The Ready Set Grow! Mobile Preschool offers parent-participation activities to children that promote early literacy and school readiness. The Quality Improvement Program offers training and technical assistance for child care providers and preschools.
