- DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Located in the Student Services Building on Simpson Drive. A continuum of educational services is available designed to support instruction and vocational training leading to certificates, degrees and transfer to four-year institutions. Students having disabilities in mobility, vision, hearing, learning, developmental delay, acquired brain injury and other impairments may enroll to receive special instruction and/or reasonable accommodations to assure equal access to the mainstream educational program. Included are priority registration, academic advisement, vocational counseling, notetakers, interpreters for deaf students, test-taking accommodations, tutorial services and study groups, learning disability assessment, mobility assistance, special parking, assistive devices. Special classes include adapted physical education (including swimming and weight training), mathematics, reading, spelling, vocabulary development, memory and written language. Cooperative contract with State Department of Rehabilitation provides job development and placement for its clients.
