• DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: TASK is a federally funded Parent Training and Information Center in southern California serving the counties of Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura, with outreach to Inyo and Mono Counties. Seek to help parents in promoting the interests of their disabled children. Provides advocacy information, assistance and training programs, referral information services and awareness programs; and conducts workshops on systems and laws for persons with disabilities. TASK is a member of the Alliance for Technology Access, and the Technology Center provides technology consultations, group labs, and technology workshops such as "Surfin' the Web'" "Reading and Writing Solutions" and "In-depth Technology Applications" for individuals who are disabled.
