- DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Jointly sponsored by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, the City of Thousand Oaks, and the Conejo Valley Unified School District, the Youth Outreach Program is identified as a multipurpose community social service program under the administrative direction of the Conejo Recreation and Park District. By program design, outreach workers seek out and address the needs of the non-involved and hard-to-reach youth of the Conejo Valley. Duties include conducting substance abuse and truancy prevention programs, recreational programs and personal development workshops in addition to acting as crisis intervention workers and a community referral service.
