- DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The Muscular Dystrophy Association funds research into the causes and cures of neuromuscular diseases and provides a comprehensive patient service program to children and adults with muscle diseases throughout the tri-counties. MDA's services include a bi-monthly clinic program at Cottage Hospital, genetic counseling, physical, respiratory and occupational therapy, support groups, the purchase and repair of wheelchairs and a week-long summer camp program for children between the ages of 6 and 21.
