• DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Provides rental subsidies (Section 8) for low income households. Applicants must meet income and household requirements and are required to pay 30% of income towards rent. Operates low income public housing with similar requirements. Assistance restricted to undocumented aliens, for residents of the City of Ventura or those who work in Ventura and would like to live there. The Housing Authority provides fair housing tenant and landlord information, resource and referral service for the City of Ventura on matters of unfair housing practices, tenant and landlord disputes and discrimination.
