- DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Gateway is an accredited school offering a year-round program with a choice of three academic goals for grades 7-12:
1) Earning a high school diploma from Gateway - 220 credits required.
2) Making up credits to return to local school district.
3) Preparing for and passing the GED/CHSPE.
Gateway offers the following specialized centers: an on-site learning center comprised of a library and computer lab, a center for junior high students, a child care center and an art center. Gateway offers a variety of classes and programs for life skills development. Classes in health, substance abuse prevention, careers and multi-cultural issues are offered. Gateway provides a school-wide student assistance program. Full-time child care is available for parenting students as well as parent training for pregnant teens. Bus transportation is provided county-wide. Satellite sites located in Fillmore, Moorpark, Ventura, West Ventura, Ojai, Santa Paula, and Simi Valley, and Oxnard.
