• DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Assists families caring for a brain-impaired adult at home. Care planning, legal and financial consultation (including assistance and advocacy for Medi-Cal), psychological counseling and support groups; respite care available for families caring for an adult whose brain impairment occurred after the age of 18 and who is not receiving Medi-Cal. Provides education and a comprehensive library on most brain impairments including HIV-AIDS, stroke, traumatic head injury, MS, Alzheimer's, Huntington's and Pick's disease as well as other neurological disorders.
