About Us

Established in 1973, Interface Children & Family Services began as a collaboration between educators, law enforcement, the Council of Churches, and parents in response to the needs of youth and families struggling to manage crises created by substance abuse. We have always focused on strengthening children and their families. Today, we address the multifaceted needs of families through our core program areas: mental health, youth and family strengthening, family violence intervention, 2-1-1 information and referral, training and technical assistance.  Interface has developed and is currently expanding our Family Resource Centers, designed to provide family support, domestic violence intervention, outreach, youth activities, prevention and counseling services within economically challenged communities.

Today, Interface serves over 26,000 individuals annually. We continue to earn the respect of individuals, businesses, and foundations which provide grants, donations, and in-kind services to ensure that the work of Interface is sustained. We recruit and train over 100 volunteers to work alongside our 90-member staff. Interface is seen as one of the most important non-profit organizations in Ventura County offering broad-based programs and services to families.
